Who we are
From a friend's request to a small green-cleaning company.
I'm Christina, most people call me Christie, owner of Christie's Cleaning. I was first trained as a cleaning professional as a teenager, working for a motel owner in a popular tourist city, and I've cleaned on and off ever since.
In 2019, between jobs and looking for my next path, a friend with chemical sensitivities asked if I'd be willing to clean her home. I had already switched to green cleaning at home for my own health and safety, so I was familiar with the products and methods her household needed. I said yes. A few months later, someone else asked the same thing.
They weren't alone. There's a real need in our community for cleaners who can deliver reliable, detail-oriented, quality work that doesn't add to your toxic load. I founded Christie's Cleaning LLC in 2021 to meet that need.
My goal is for you to "breathe easy", spending more time on what's important to you, and confidently enjoying cleaner air as you do.
There are levels to non-toxic and green cleaning, just like there are levels of clean eating or clean living. There's also a balance between living a healthy lifestyle and being able to function within the world we actually live in. I do my best with what I know and what makes sense for my clients and my company. I don't chase perfection, but I keep growing in my knowledge of what's safe, healthy, and effective.
Some clients care most about fewer chemical emissions. Others care more about less waste or environmental impact. Some don't care about any of that, they just want a great clean, and they let me be who I am while delivering a service that makes sense for them.
I clean for everyone, not just folks who are chemically sensitive. I love changing paradigms and watching people be surprised by how effective less-toxic products can be. By client request, I'll sometimes use a product I don't normally carry, as long as it won't significantly impact my health or my team's.
