Who we are
Hi! I am Christina, also known as Christie, owner of Christie’s Cleaning. I have cleaned professionally on and off since my teen years, usually on the side. While in between jobs and looking for my next path, I was approached by a friend with chemical sensitivities, inquiring if I would be willing to clean her home. Having made the switch to green cleaning in my own home, I was familiar with the products and methods her household required, so I agreed. I have come to find there is a need in the community for those who can and will provide a reliable, detail-oriented, quality cleaning that will not significantly add to one’s toxic load. In response to this, I founded Christie’s Cleaning LLC (aka Christie’s Green Cleaning) in 2021.
Do I ONLY clean green? I will always start with non-toxic methods. Many clients are pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness. However, I clean for everyone, not just the chemically sensitive. SOME conventional products might be used for those who are not sensitive to them if I determine that the product will be more effective for the job and will not (significantly or negatively) impact my own health or the health of my team. Each client will have a say regarding which products will be used in their own home or business.
PRODUCTS I USE:
I have found that quality microfiber which will mechanically lift/remove dirt and germs from surfaces is vital to any eco-friendly cleaning arsenal. My go-to choices for microfiber are Norwex and E-Cloth brands. As a spray cleaner, the brand I most often trust is Branch Basics. Other methods of cleaning may include steam, natural abrasives, essential oils, rubbing alcohol, and various types of scrub brushes. These and other safe, yet effective, products are what you will find in our cleaning kits.
My goal is for you to “Breathe easy”, spending more time on what is important to you, and confidently enjoying cleaner air as you do so!
DISCLAIMER:
Please note that cleaning and restoring are not the same service. A cleaning might not reverse normal signs of wear and tear. Damage left by contractors or DIY projects, such as glue, cement, grout, and paint splatter might not be removed. Mineral build-up may or may not be removed, as some surfaces become “etched” and need replacing to look new again. Staining due to damage of brushed metal or natural stone will not likely be remedied. We take precaution to use what is safe for your surfaces. While a thorough cleaning can do wonders for your environment (and you might be surprised), under some conditions, restoring surfaces to a like-new appearance requires a different kind of service we do not provide.
If you have any questions about what a professional cleaning could do for you, please reach out and schedule a consultation. I am happy to help!
